- 350g plain flour
- 4g bicarb
- 8g ginger
- 4g cinnamon
- 125g butter
- 175g light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 60g golden syrup

This super tasty gingerbread recipe is great to get the youngsters involved in the baking and decorating process!
Ingredients:
Start by sieving together your dry ingredients. The plain flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon.
In a separate pan (or microwave) melt the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup. Allow this to cool for 5 minutes.
Pour your melted mixture into the dry mix and add the egg. Mix together with a wooden spoon, mixer or by hand!
Place the dough onto greaseproof paper and roll until 5mm thick. Put this into your fridge for 20 minutes to set.
Pull out from the fridge and cut your gingerbread shapes!
Place apart on a baking tray with greaseproof and cook in the oven for 10-15 minutes (size dependant) on 160 degrees.
Allow to cool then decorate.
