Family Holidays at Bedruthan

Easy and calm family holidays on the beautiful Cornish coastline. With over 60 years’ experience, our hotel is here to make things as effortless as possible. Packing can be light, as we have buggies, bottle warmers and more to hand.

Fabulous food for peckish people

Our clifftop kitchen always prefers to cook from scratch; Summer squash curries, thickly-crusted pies and bright seasonal salads. We’re about the kind of natural, nourishing cooking that gives little legs the energy to go again. You’ll also find plenty of sturdy high chairs to borrow, alongside a strong stock of unbreakable plastic bowls, cups and cutlery.

With a hearty artisan bakery breakfast, there is something to fill all tummies before a morning of
fun-filled memory making.

Time together, time to yourselves

We understand that sometimes grown-ups may want some time just to themselves. When that moment comes, we recommend trying the Herring restaurant or perhaps some time in our sea-view spa.

And to help you keep an eye on our smaller guests, we’ve partnered with the babysitters at the Parent & Child Nanny Agency - their registered babysitters have all been checked with DBS Enhanced Disclosure and are trained in paediatric first aid. We ask that you organise any babysitting with the agency directly before heading to Bedruthan.

Family Spa Time

Book use our indoor spa as a family, from 8-8:45am each morning. This can only be booked with spa reception whilst you are in house to ensure all families have opportunity to book time in the spa.

Family time in the spa is limited and subject to availability, however if you have any questions please do head to the spa desk on arrival.

A Natural Playground

From here, the wide Mawgan Porth beach is just a short stroll down a sandy path away. Discover rock pools or learn to surf with our friends at Kingsurf. From there you’ll soon come across the South West Coast Path - ramble north for Bedruthan Steps, Booby’s Bay and the lighthouse at Trevose Head, or go south to Watergate Bay and Newquay. And just around the corner is Carnewas, a Dark Sky Discovery Site perfect for evening stargazing with budding astronauts.

And when you return back up the hill, you’ll find plenty more to do.

Playtime

Bedruthan is home to Jungle Tumble, our very own soft play area, the perfect place for children to burn off some energy on rain days. We even have sofas for grown ups, so you can chill out while the kiddies entertain themselves. Jungle Tumble is available for our overnight guests to use or those joining us for lunch and dinner or an event. Re-opening from 18th November 2022.

And don’t forget our indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts - adventure’s only ever a quick sprint away.

On drizzly days, retreat to our indoor cinema room to re-discover old classics or challenge each other with the games console, or simply hunker down together with blankets, hot chocolates, and board games.

Further afield

Basing yourself at Bedruthan is perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. Nestled in the quiet fringes between the popular towns of Padstow and Newquay, there’s plenty to do for all ages. Enjoy a cycle trip along the old railway line of the Camel Trail, have an unforgettable experience at the world-famous Eden Project or even day trip further afield in St Ives, Newlyn, Falmouth and Lands End.
