Residences: Meet Victoria Young-Jamieson
Meet our first artist in residence, whose latest work is a love letter to our very own stretch of coastline, as a way of re-focussing her connection to this ancient corner of Cornwall.

Allow me to introduce you to a long-standing friend of Bedruthan. First and foremost a creative being, Sarah Drew designs award-winning jewellery from the things she finds on the beach, in the woods or anywhere her travels may take her.
‘I make contemporary, definitely eclectic jewellery from found objects (driftwood, sea plastic, sea glass and slate pebbles) combined with semi-precious stones and pearls linked together with chunky hammered eco-silver chains, delicate crocheted fine silver and fused silver focal pieces. I’m lucky enough to live in Cornwall and I love spending time outdoors in the fresh air on local beaches and in the woods, collecting curious things…’
With a focus on sustainable, excitable fashion it is simply no wonder as to why we have always gotten on so well with Sarah. Our time together is always well spent and a short afternoon with Sarah always leaves us feeling creatively inspired to take a long walk along the beach and find some sea glass for our next piece.
A lover of Cornwall and all things coastal, Sarah always makes the most of her time with us at Bedruthan, if she isn’t in her space in the hotel, you can trust she will be heading down to the beach to collect more treasures or running in for a cooling dip under the midday sun.
Sarah has run workshops in the past with more scheduled, the next being September 17th and is joining us this week as an artist in residence in one of our craft spaces. Pop in for a chat, to discuss a custom order and see the amazing work she does.
