Exploring

We believe that Cornwall's magic is best explored on foot and we wanted to share some of our favourite running and hiking adventures from our coastal outpost.

Hiking Adventures

Situated at the bottom of our front garden, the South West Coast Path offers some of the most spectacular views and easy navigating for 'out and back' style hikes, however in the area we have lovely woodlands in St Mawgan, hilly hikes up Brown Willy. We recommend using All Trails to plan your hike and find your next adventure in Cornwall.

Running Routes

During the summer, trail runs along the coast path are perfect for stretching your legs and soaking in the sea air. We like heading North, towards Bedruthan Steps and Porthcothan for a flatter, easier run or South towards Watergate Bay, Whipsiderry and Newquay. However just be mindful, as far as you run out, you'll also have to run home!

Brown Willy

Popular for being the highest point in Cornwall, but also because our younger guests always seem to chuckle at the name. Brown Willy via Rough Tor is lovely day trip, with opportunities for rock climbing, animal spotting and exploring. Head to the carpark Roughtor Rd, Camelford PL32 9QG and begin your adventure.

Cardinham Woods

From adventure and exercise to peaceful strolls and stunning scenery, relaxation and exertion are only moments away, Cardinham Woods is a real hidden gem. In a beautiful valley the woodland saddles a bubbling stream leading to the River Fowey. The Wood Cafe is a perfect place to begin your adventure.
