Baking at Bedruthan:
Spend the day trying your hand at seasonal breads and other baked treats. From artisan baguettes to tasty doughnuts, learn the techniques and bake your breads in our sea-view garden room. Our talented in-house Bedruthan bakers, Gregory Huxford and Chris Squire, will take you from beginner to baker and you’ll leave with your freshly baked loaves and with the skill to continue your bread-making at home. Professional artist and printer Dena will inspire you with her enthusiasm for colour, pattern and print. We offer six week courses during which you’ll work with paper, fabric and a variety of printing techniques. You can also join us for a taster day, transforming a design into a hand cut stencil and printing onto a range of papers and fabric.Find dates
Local artist Sarah Drew has been teaching at Bedruthan for many years and her courses always get rave reviews. She offers a fun and creative ‘beach finds’ day, start by browsing the foreshore for sea-glass, shells, smoothed plastics and turn them into unusual statement pieces. Alternatively, learn the art of silver with her one day workshops, you’ll make eco-silver bangles, earrings, rings and necklaces.Find dates
Run by Lyndsey of Anon Design Stationery and hosted at Bedruthan you will spend the morning with us learning how to create basic shapes with your calligraphy pen whilst working towards mastering the modern calligraphy alphabet and basic phrases. Run by Kerry from Rarecreation grows beautiful flowers in her garden just a stones’ throw away from us in St Eval. The lovely Claudine of Iron Lamb is a local crochet and knitwear designer who creates bright and beautiful crochet designs just down the road from us.
