Fair Information

DATE: Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of November 2020

TIME: 10am-4pm each day

PRICE: £1 for adults on the door, on the day, FREE Park & Ride

LOCATION: Bedruthan Hotel and Spa, Trenance, Mawgan Porth, TR8 4BU.

PARK AND RIDE: If you’re visiting the fair please park in the FREE Mawgan Porth beach car park and take the FREE Newquay Lions Park and Ride bus that will go between the car park and the hotel during the fair.

Our Christmas Fair will feature some of the most talented craftspeople and artisan makers from around the South West. Three levels of stalls including contemporary craft, art, ceramics, illustration, homewares, textiles, decor, gifts, fashion, jewellery, beauty, accessories and food and drink. The weekend will also be host to a programme of seasonal workshops – information coming soon. There really is something for everyone.

The Cornwall Christmas Box is our charity partner for this event. This amazing initiative gives you the opportunity to donate of box of festive food and treats to a local family in need to help them have a happier Christmas.

The destination for the best in contemporary crafts from Cornwall and beyond. On the first floor of the hotel and on the same level as the fair’s entry.

Sea Pink Studio

Sea Pink Studio sells contemporary colourful bead jewellery, hand painted in bold bright patterns and colours, inspired by the beautiful Cornish coastline and its colourful villages and towns, and a love of florals and nature. Sally’s aim is to produce fun, happy jewellery which brings joy when you wear it!


Jago Illustration 

Jago is an award winning children’s book illustrator and has produced work for over 50 books and a few magazines, as well as a TV show or two. He’s probably best known for his collaboration with New York Times Bestselling author Sally Lloyd-Jones. Their books have been translated into over 30 languages, sold more than 3.2 million copies and won a tidy stack of awards. He sells high quality signed giclee prints of his illustrations as well as an expanding range of illustrated products, including stationery and homewares.


The Cornish Man Cave

Handmade high quality natural grooming products for men with an ethos of cruelty free, natural.  Supporting the drive to less plastic they also have a eco selection of bamboo toothbrushes, bamboo cotton buds, razors etc.


Lizzie-May Design

Lizzie-May is an illustrator based in Truro, Cornwall who loves to paint beautiful botanicals, plants and characters using colourful gouache paints. She sells her designs through a range of illustrated products that include greeting cards, prints for the home, enamel pins and tote bags.


Julia Crimmen Ceramics

Working from her garden studio in Cornwall, Julia uses a  porcelain clay  to hand throw cups, jugs, planters and bowls with added botanical texture and glossy glazes inspired by her countryside surroundings.   She also hand models collectible porcelain animal sculptures, hand painting each one individually to give  their own quirky character.


Anon Design Studio

Erica and Lyndsey are firm friends, founders and directors of Anon Design. They have been designing, creating and delivering story driven pieces for the longest time. They love their work, it’s thier soul food, and they know how important a role design has to play in life. With a focus on bespoke sustainable art, they love to illustrate and hand letter as many of their pieces as possible, and to print on ethically produced recycled paper stock and organically sourced clothing.


The Curious Sea

Kate Panter works happily from her studio at Watergate Bay near Newquay creating original ceramics inspired by the nearby ocean. Her sea themed work is thrown and hand built using earthenware clay and includes fish wall art, sculptures,bowls,pots and boats. Each piece is truly unique and a little quirky.


Badger & Birch

Badger & Birch creates home, gift and lifestyle products with a focus on artisan design, natural sustainable materials and minimising waste.  Maker Hazel uses a solvent free eco resin to create her terrazzo and patterned ranges. She uses signature muted tones and natural minerals  – embedding recycled mussel, oyster and lobster shell as well as amethyst and rose quartz crystals into the resin to create unique pieces for the home.    


Wading Bird

Wading Bird creates leather and textile handbags and accessories in their coastal Cornish studio.


Blossom Clothing Cornwall

Blossom present their own knitwear label with designs knitted from silk and cotton  for real women with real bodies! Also adding to their range this year will be designs from our Dreams label and men’s scarves and shirts for the ideal Christmas present!


Annie Morris

Annie Morris is a textile artist based in Devon, specialising in embroidered homewares and gifts. All products are made by hand with great care and attention to detail. The current collection comprises of cosmetic bags and purses, cushions, lampshades, tea towels, guestbooks, greetings cards and prints. Annie has created a hugely popular collection of DIY craft kits, focusing on hand embroidery. Special seasonal items such as Christmas tree decorations, reusable crackers and personalised gifts can also be made to order.


Call of the Ocean

Inspired by the beauty of the coast, Call of the Ocean is a brand created by jewellery designer Charlotte Harris. From her cornish studio she thoughtfully creates stunning eco friendly jewellery that celebrates individuality.


With A Gypsy Soul

With A Gypsy Soul create contemporary Dreamcatchers and wallhangings in  neutral shades to complement today’s bohemian home.


Lamorna Gore Ceramics

Lamorna Gore makes exquisite wheel thrown porcelain bowls. She focuses on simple organic forms and soft matt glazes to create beautiful vessels filled with striking precious metal lustres.


Deer & Shine

Abi from Deer & Shine creates contemporary, minimalist and bespoke jewellery. Using predominantly brass, Abi focuses on geometry and simple shapes within her pieces.


Driftwood and Clay

Ruth is a 3D Artist working with driftwood and air dry clay hand making bird and boat sculptures using recycled paper, canvas and hand painted wire. Ruth searches the seashore for driftwood and taking her inspiration from the shore around her on the beautiful Cornish Coast.



PICA PICA believes resourceful creativity is the way forward and that is why they use recycled silver, second-hand jewellery and found objects to create their pieces.  Their love of simplicity inspires the clean, minimal aesthetic that characterises their work and reflects their mindful approach to the jewellery-making process. Every PICA PICA piece is unique and hand crafted at their farm-based studio in Cornwall.   


Helen Ward

From artist Helen Ward comes a collection of beautiful  jewellery investigating the possibilities of embedding images and objects in resin. You will find tiny bees and insects, delicate flower, leaf and tree silhouettes, pieces with figures, vintage lace and words with special meanings. She uses her own imagery edited from photos, drawings, paintings and Lino prints or inspirational scrapbook finds she has saved. Using her own moulds the pieces are formed into specific shapes, dimensions and textures and mounted using sterling silver. These are unique and beautiful pieces of contemporary handmade jewellery.


Cornish Pots

Cornish Pots present a range of ceramic cups, mugs, pourers, bowls and vases created in a studio in the countryside of Penwith, Cornwall. Designs are inspired by Cornish natural beauty, floral hedgerows, blue skies and white-crested waves. The pots are individually thrown using white earthenware clay, decorated with a coloured slip on the potter’s wheel, glazed with a transparent, soft glaze and then fired. Each pot belongs to the collection but is subtly unique.

fala studio create macrame and woven wall decor, plant holders and jewellery all designed and handmade in Cornwall.


Studio Lowen

Lowen, Cornish for joyful, happiness. Studio Lowen, made with joy in a little garden studio in Cornwall. Created with the simple objective of designing and making pieces that bring happiness through aesthetic and functionality. Designer-maker Lisa Claire Stewart makes hand painted leather purses and accessories as well as ceramics and other homewares. Each Studio Lowen piece is designed and handmade in Cornwall.



Kara and Dave are artists with a laser cutter, inspired by living in the country and by the sea. After growing up together in North Cornwall, Kara studied Art and Design at Falmouth, Newport (Gwent), Canterbury, and Hartford, Connecticut. Dave went to Goldsmiths. They returned to Cornwall in 2006, and set up a gallery/workshop in Mawgan Porth where they combine their interests in storytelling, printmaking, automata and multiples.


Sarah Drew Jewellery 

Statement jewellery made from found and recycled materials including beach plastic, sea-glass, eco-silver and boulder opals.


Bedruthan Spa

Our spa team will be selling a variety of spa products including our very our Oula shampoo, conditioner, scrub and hand/body lotion. Come and purchase something that will bring you a little of our spa’s calm, relaxation, and rejuvenation when you’re back at home.



A selection of wares from designer-makers alongside a programme of festive making workshops taking place across the weekend. On the ground floor down the stairs from the Gallery Rooms.

Tristan Sherwood

Tristan is a Fine Artist, Educator and Printmaker based in Cornwall. He creates accessible, original, beautiful, limited edition prints and printed objects which he will be showcasing at the fair. Each piece is based on integrity and craftsmanship and as such every piece is an original, printed by hand, onto quality materials with the utmost of care.  His Inspiration is eclectic but often domestic creating unlikely alliances which surprise and delight. Tristan will also be hosting printed christmas card workshops throughout the weekend.


Wild Sea Calligraphy (Saturday only)

Lyndsey of Wild Sea Calligraphy is a designer and workshop host from the South West. She absolutley loves calligraphy adding texture and layers to her designs and bringing in various design elements and material from floral, colours, and different style typefaces. Lyndsey is also half of Anon Design Studio (who will be at the fair with their lifestyle prints and gifts) and will be selling beginner calligraphy kits alongside hosting modern calligraphy festive gift tag workshops across the Saturday.


The Curious Tinker (Sunday only)

Curious Tinker Cathy is a talented designer, seamstress and crafter from just down the road. She’s part of the team at Treehouse that offer a range of creative workshops for all ages and abilities that pop up across Cornwall. Cathy will be selling a range of festive macrame decorations along side hosting a seasonal macrame decoration making workshop across the Sunday.

Rose Moon Textiles

Rose Moon is an ethical, family run company from Cornwall. They sell artisan-made linen and accessories in beautiful hand block printed cotton from vibrant Jaipur.


Seawitch Candles

Seawitch presents a beautiful home fragrance range hand made in Cornwall. With a coastal themed design which includes candle jars, tea lights and reed diffusers. Seawitch Candles have also created a vintage/retro collection of candles to compliment their contemporary range. This upcycled, unique range of home fragrance offers customers the opportunity to have their spent candle re filled or else to reuse the holder for some other purpose.


Going Loopy

Obsessed by colour and sparkle Going Loopy make unique hair accessories, accessories for the home and a variety of other beautiful creations!


Little Netty

Little Netty create hand felted woollen and hand painted wooden gifts and decorations.


Craft Rebel

Craft Rebel offers craft kits for kids with a difference, that appeal to children and parents with a cheeky adventurous side.  Whether this be through monsters, superheroes, or dinosaurs, the kits let imaginations go. See your young crafters enthralled as they create their own dinosaur toy and embark on adventures together using the unique Cornwall explorers map, or becoming their own superhero and flying across the local beach.  Craft kits can be personalised making a great gift.


The Industrious Maker

Beautiful and functional storage and accessories designed and made for makers. Inspired by vintage packaging and sewing ephemera, Gill often utilizes and re-purposes materials in playful, innovative ways creating modern designs with a vintage style. Printed on natural organic cotton her range includes embroidery hoop lidded storage jars, ribbon and string dispensers, pin cushions, sewing kits, yarn dispensers, prints and bags.


Little Robin

Little Robin create unique, hand-knitted clothing and accessories for children and adults. All the knitwear is designed by Tamsin and lovingly hand-knitted in a small Cornish village by the sea. Tamsin uses only the finest yarns in a rich colour palette and always aim to have a homespun finish. Over time she has introduced handmade jewellery, cards and decorations to compliment her hand knits.

Soap Daze

Soap Daze is a small handcrafted business based in Devon. Soaps are made in 3 different sizes, including a chunky soap on a rope. All products are completely natural, vegan and palm oil free. Skincare, deodorants, candles and facecloths are also available.


Lexis Place

Colourful creations and illustrations brought to life from a little home by the sea. Vicky pours her colourful imagination into every piece created, for the young and young at heart.  From unique accessories, quirky illustrations and fun homeware.


Spellbound by the Sea

Coastal art, craft and design by Newquay based artist Claire Britcliffe. Claire’s unique and quirky designs are inspired from living close to the beautiful Cornish coast and her love of 1950s art and fashion. She uses recycled materials in her work whenever possible, breathing new life into forgotten pieces and creating art to make you smile.


The Nature of Paper

Pam is a Paper Artist living and working from her home in Truro, Cornwall where she creates flowers, gifts and decorations using different techniques and types of paper. Whilst Pam’s main obsession is flowers, sometimes other ‘Cornish’ themed paper creations somehow find their way onto Pam’s work table. Pam works with sustainably sourced paper and materials and has recently been featured in a new book Make: Cornwall, which delves into the lives and work of 25 Contemporary Cornish based makers.



Craft kits and quirky designs by Windsweptgirlie. At her little studio in Polperro, Windsweptgirlie creates a wide range of coastal-inspired gifts, cards and homewares. From stocking fillers for Cornishware lovers to Cornish inspired prints Windsweptgirlie has something for everyone.

English Spirit

English Spirit is one of the UK’s original craft distilleries, they produce the world’s widest variety of spirits and liqueurs from scratch, under one roof. They make everything themselves, in very small batches, using fresh & local ingredients where possible. Vodka, gin, rum, brandy, sambuca, single malt, and a range of fresh fruit liqueurs. One of their latest releases is their first Cornish product, St Piran’s Rum.


Freda’s Peanut Butter

A love of peanut butter led husband and wife team Andrew and Lisa Newsham to search for the perfect blend. On a trip of a lifetime to New Zealand in a camper van called Freda they had a moment of inspiration to develop their own unbelievably tasty brand. Uniquely flavoured, deeply roasted with natural ingredients and the perfect crunch- this is peanut butter but better!



Chocolarder is one of the only small batch bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the country. They produce award-winning, stone ground chocolate using organic beans imported from single estate, family run plantations around the world. The chocolate is made in their Cornish factory before being aged for up to 30 days to develop the flavours. The bars are then lovingly wrapped in their plastic free packaging.


Deli Farm Charcuterie

Deli Farm Charcuterie are one of the pioneering British producers  to preserve meat by air drying. Their award winning artisan charcuterie is made with their own carefully developed recipes using prime cuts of local meat. Their attention to quality and detail has been rewarded each year since they started by achieving Great Taste and Taste of the West awards. Their products include several different flavoured salami, Coppa, Bresaola, Pancetta, Prosciutto, Cullatello, Fiocco and a range of high protein meat snacks.


Cornish Meadow Preserves 

Cornish Meadows present a range of handmade Preserves, to include Jams, Marmalade, Mustards, Chutneys and Sauces.


The Cornish Artisan

The Cornish Artisan hand blend a range of wellbeing products expertly created using the finest organic, sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients. They are a small batch artisan company operating from their home workshop on the beautiful rugged and wild coast of North Cornwall. Each product is created with wellbeing at it’s core. Combining a wealth of knowledge over 25 years, award winning therapist Rebecca-Emma creates each item, from the product itself to the paintings on each individual packaging.


Hanson Fine Foods

Hanson Fine Foods are a Cheese seller of the best of artisan West Country Cheeses.


The Wrecking Coast Distillery 

Wrecking Coast is a distillery in North Cornwall creating unique, super premium award-winning spirits using local ingredients wherever possible.


Cornish Country Cordials

Cornish Country Cordials are award-winning fruit juices and cordials handmade in small batches without artificial sweeteners, colours, flavours or preservatives. Luscious diluted with still or sparkling water, in a fruity softail, even better in a gin or prosecco cocktail.


Hot Sauce Commitee

Hot Sauce Committee makes delicious chilli sauces ranging from the mild to the hot. Their sauces are fantastic for using as a table sauce, creating delicious dips and marinades and making your favourite dish all the more tasty.


Pink Peach Cake Company

Artisan cake maker supplying sweet treats, wholesome bakes and seasonal delights.


The Bearded Brewery

The Bearded Brewery are cider makers with a micro brewery producing small batches of artisan ciders and tipples.


Nature Kitchen

Nature Kitchen is a Cornwall based spice merchant and world food trader selling over 700 speciality world foods and spices alongside some Cornish made treats. Their aim is to help you source all your hard to find ingredients in one place.


Langleys Rocky Road

Chocolate Rocky Road made in 14 different flavours. Belgium chocolate with nougat, caramel, honeycomb and inspirational flavours.


Fal River Distillery

The distillery creates small batch botanical Petrel Rum. Made completely from scratch, it is traditionally fermented, distilled, barrel aged and bottled by Elle Demaus. Let the flavours and notes of maple, rosemary and oak come through on this easy drinking rum. Perfect for an after meal tipple or a celebratory drink.


Bee Wrapped

Bee Wrapped make high quality, long lasting beeswax food and bread wraps. Their wraps are made with sustainably sourced beeswax, pine resin, jojoba oil and lots of love. They select a range of bright, eye catching fabrics so that our wraps their not only practical but also pretty and joyful to use. A great eco gift for any food lover!



Each year we hold festive workshops in our Make Studio. Last year saw seasonal christmas card, gift tag and decoration making using lino printing, modern calligraphy and macrame – you can view them below. We will release our 2020 workshops after the summer in 2020.

Block Printed Christmas Card Making Workshop with Tristan Sherwood

£10 a head including all workshop materials

Join Tristan to try your hand at block lino printing. Tristan has specially designed and created a range of seasonally inspired print blocks for you to choose from to make your own original and beautiful christmas card design. Tristan will guide you through the process of printing your design on to quality card blanks to create your own series of five unique christmas cards. Tristan’s work will also be available to buy.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners with a minimum age of 12 and is approx 30-45 minutes long. Kids under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are £10 incuding all materials and all pre booked workshop participants will have FREE fair entry.

Modern Calligraphy Festive Gift Tag Making Workshop with Wild Sea Calligraphy

£10 a head including all workshop materials

Join Lyndsey of Wild Sea Calligraphy for an introductory taster session in Modern Calligraphy. Lyndsey will guide you through using your calligraphy pen to create simple and elegant calligraphy shapes so you can work towards mastering the modern calligraphy alphabet. These skills can be used to create a selection of festive gift tags in a beautiful modern calligraphy style. Calligraphy kits will also be available to buy.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners with a minimum age of 12 and is approx 30-45 minutes long. Kids under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are £10 incuding all materials and all pre booked workshop participants will have FREE fair entry.

Macrame Seasonal Decoration Making Workshop with Curious Tinker

£10 a head including all workshop materials

Join Cathy of Curious Tinker to learn the art of macrame. Cathy will teach you the skills needed to create beautiful Christmas decorations and garlands using traditional Macrame knots. You will have the chance to try out a range of festive styles and try designing your own. Macrame decorations are also available to buy.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners with a minimum age of 12 and is approx 30-45 minutes long. Kids under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are £10 incuding all materials and all pre booked workshop participants will have FREE fair entry.
