Family togetherness at Bedruthan

Written by Gabrielle Bottone

About holidays here as a teenager, sun-drenched afternoons spent making new friends around the tennis court or swimming pool. About how they came to Bedruthan for moments to just be together (come rain or shine) for those long Cornish summers.

Listening to our guests’ long-cherished family tales, there’s something in them we hear that still strikes us loud and clear even all these years later. Their stories vividly remind us of what family holidays are truly about: undisturbed time to be together, making those never-to-be-forgotten memories.

Therefore, we’re embracing a fresh approach to family holidays, though it feels more like returning to that most important thing. We want to help families uncover precious time to spend together — not apart.

We are now focusing our attention on offering you more unique experiences for the whole family that we hope will be treasured for years to come. We’re trying out some big, new ideas that we think families will be excited to try.

In place of our usual children’s clubs and indoor soft play spaces, we’re offering more unique experiences for the whole family.

If you’re one of our families who often stay at Bedruthan during school holidays, you may notice that there are a few less activities overall. We’re putting efforts into developing a focused selection of unusual activities and creative, local partnerships — we want to do the sort of things you wouldn’t find anywhere else. We’re eager for you to experience them and hope you enjoy spending precious time together at our creative, coastal outpost.
