As you wind along the cliff path, it’s impossible not be struck by the beauty of the Cornish coastline. But dwell longer and a second feeling soon follows: the slow realisation that all this needs protecting. There is conservation work to be done, changes to be made in our everyday way of life.
To support sustainability projects, a £5 donation is added to each booking at Bedruthan. Through our Community Fund, this money is then carefully given to local projects. Currently, supported organisations include:
- Surfers Against Sewage, a grassroots environmental group that fights to protect the coastline.
- CoaST: One Planet Tourism Network, a Cornish social enterprise that promotes sustainable tourism.
We work with all kinds of organisations, working across the fields of both environmental sustainability and social sustainability. When you make a booking, you can specify which of our supported organisations you’d like to contribute towards. You can also opt out of the scheme, no questions asked.
