Introduction to stencil screenprinting

Looking over the beautiful coastal view of Mawgan Porth beach, relax and take part in this creative one day workshop, learning how to screen print your own range of prints to take home with you.
Tailored for beginners the course will introduce you to the basic skills required to transform a design into a hand cut stencil, mixing your inks, setting up your screen, through to pulling a squeegee. You will print a one colour design onto a range of papers and fabric.
Printmaker and designer Dena O’Brien will guide you through each step to create your own unique prints.
The workshop includes refreshments and also a soup lunch.
Level: The course is suitable for beginners and those with basic screen printing knowledge

Price: £70 including all materials, a soup lunch and refreshments
What to bring: old clothing, an apron or old shirt, suitable footwear, notebook, pencil, rubber, craft knife or scalpel, visual ideas to help create your design (photographs, books, patterns, sketchbooks, magazines). Also feel free to bring along any papers or fabric to print onto. Please ensure these are flat surfaces and cut down to A4.
Please note – This workshop requires a minimum of 4 people in order to run. If minimum numbers are not met 7 days prior to the date of the workshop it will be cancelled and you will be offered a refund or a choice of alternative dates.
