Great Cornish Food Festival – 22nd-24th September 2017
Hosted in Truro’s Lemon Quay, the Great Cornish Food Festival is the largest event dedicated to the best of Cornish food and drink. You can discover tasty delights from over 60 food and drink exhibitors, watch masterclasses from the likes of Nathan Outlaw and our very own Tom Hunter, and take your pick from the delicious range on the outdoor street market. A half hour’s drive away from Bedruthan, you can enjoy your cracking Cornish breakfast before setting off for a day of eating and drinking – or we can arrange taxi transfers for you if you fancy making the most of all the free drink tasters!
Newquay Fish Festival – 8th – 10th September 2017
Newquay Fish Festival is one of the highlights of the local foodie calendar focusing on the delicious seafood local fishermen catch daily. The practical cookery demonstrations by local chefs are undoubtedly the highlight of the festival, with hotels and restaurants promoting local fresh fish and shellfish and locally available produce. Newquay is just a short drive down the coast from the hotel, so you can make a cosy base for yourself at Bedruthan, while popping in to the festival whenever you fancy.
St Ives September Music and Arts Festival – 9th – 23rd September 2017
Almost 40 years in the making, the St Ives September Festival offers a wide range of music, arts and literature events in locations throughout St Ives throughout a 15 day period. This year’s highlights include Saturday night concerts at the Guildhall by Folk Award-winners, the John McCusker Band, The Changing Room and Cara Dillon. Pop-sensation Toploader will also be there along with a whole host of live music. There are also a number of free exhibitions, guided walks around the town and open studios throughout the festival giving you a unique insight into the town’s creative community.
Padstow Christmas Festival – 7th – 10th December 2017
Padstow Christmas Festival is a truly magical way to really get into the festive spirit. It’s the perfect place to begin (or finish) your Christmas shopping – full of unique Cornish produce making ideal gifts. Along with some of the best food and drink producers of Cornwall, there are also arts and crafts stalls and pop up markets, chef demonstrations and festive entertainment. Padstow is just up the road from hotel, making a perfect base to retreat back to after the festival.
