The joy of singing

By June 12, 2014Families

Singing isn’t just good for you: it’s great for you – body and soul.

Our singing lessons with professional teacher Tracey Bailey are all about fun. Whether your child is shy or super-confident, a littlie of five or tween going on teen, Tracey will get him or her singing their heart out.

“We do nursery rhymes, rounds, songs from musicals like The Sound of Music and Oliver. Spike Milligan rhymes are always popular.

“I teach them some basic singing techniques, like how to stand and breathe so they can get to the end of each verse without gasping.

We get the kids moving with favourites like Little Green Frog and they learn some dance moves. There’s lots of laughing and we put on a performance for parents in the evening.”

Children can dip in and out of the session, which lasts 90 minutes.

There’ll be a performance for mums and dads later in the day.
