This summer is set to be bright! The forecast is just what we’d hoped for… sunshine throughout. And this season’s colours are matching the weather forecast: bold, bright and beautiful.
This is what our perfect day in Cornwall would look like…
After an indulgent breakfast and excellent coffee (Cornwall does great coffee) – start with a coast path walk to get that blood flowing. Pack a picnic and make the most of the terrific clifftop views.
Style essentials for such an endeavour include an excellent pair of sunnies, various layers of clothing – as, dare we say, the weather does not always play ball. A backpack gives you handsfree picture taking abilities. Strike down on a pretty fleece blanket somewhere delightful and enjoy the spectacular views.
Feeling fit and healthy with all that fresh air in our lungs, we’d set up camp on the beach for an afternoon of waterside fun and sunshine. This summer is all about having a playful wardrobe – coral and floral are two of our favourite trends, combined they are even better. It’s all about the details. A winning nail varnish, simple, yet striking jewellery and of course a pair of delicious Havaianas. Clothing wise, airy tops and denim shorts are flattering, comfortable and perfectly on trend.
We’re planning on spending plenty of time poolside or beachside. If you’re anything like us, you may as well add some colour and fun to your settlement. You will be that cool crowd. Our leopard print, fringed towel is a retro-inspired piece that we love pulling out the beach bag. To really make a splash, this inflatable flamingo is a must-have this summer – imagine how many great pics you will get of the gang on this!? Everything is better with music. Bring along this portable MP3 player – plug in your iPhone and the scene is set.
After an afternoon of frivolities, it’s time for a cocktail or two at the hotel. Cornwall is all about casual. Adjust your style – and be sure to include print, pattern and colour. Lace, leopard and beading is on our packing list.
