Our friends at Roo’s Beach, the happy clothing boutique just down the road from us in Porth, have put together a Spring Fashion Forecast for you to celebrate their upcoming Fashion & Feast Night here at the hotel. Read on for some fabulous Spring colour tips…
Every year, the specialists at Pantone put together a trend report of the colours for the season. Spring 2016 is a particularly pleasing palette which will bring a smile to your face on even the dullest winter day. You can expect soft Rose Quartz, powdery cornflower blue Serenity, warm sunshine shades of yellow Buttercup and accents of bright Green Flash.
In the words of Leatrice Eiseman, director of the Pantone Colour Institute: “Colours this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves.”
Fashion-wise, February and March are unpredictable. Even though we’d like to discard the heavy knits, coats and hats, we could at any point be plunged into Arctic conditions, so we need to dress accordingly. So let’s just say we’re spring-bound, and with this we can inject splashes of this exciting new colour palette into our wardrobes to ease us gently into the new season. I would advise looking out for well-chosen layers, especially when coming to Cornwall.
Inject some brightness into your wardrobe. Buttercup yellow is an easy-to-wear yellow. We’re in love with the new Penelope Chilvers boots, perfect with denim and such a great colour pop to add to your outfit.Snorkel Blue & Lilac Grey:
For a classic look, change up your blues and greys to Snorkel blue and Lilac grey. Great fitting denim is always a winner.
Green Flash & Rose Quartz:
Rose Quartz has been one of our favourite colours for many seasons now, and so pleased to see it on the Pantone selection. Match it with the lovely green flash for a fun look.
