A few miles up the coast from Bedruthan Steps you’ll find a cluster of lesser-known beautiful white sandy beaches not far from the village of St Merryn, known as the Seven Bays – perfect for exploring, walking or just for a picnic in the sand dunes.
Closest to Bedruthan Steps is Porthcothan Bay, further up the coast is Treyarnon, then Constantine Bay, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivey’s Bay, Harlyn and finally Trevone Bay (closest to Padstow). All are worth checking out, but here is a lovely walk starting from Booby’s Bay and ending at Treyarnon (where the Youth Hostel Cafe is conveniently located).
The walk takes roughly 90 minutes – so you can easily head back again the way you came in one easy morning or afternoon.
Park at Booby’s Bay (free parking), a short walk to the beach.
Follow the footpath down to to the bay.
