Our grown-ups only cocktail bar at Bedruthan boasts a variety of G&Ts that’s perfect for serving up some ginspiration. Our Food and Beverage Service Manager, Katie Hewitt, has put together a list of the best gin and tonics that we have to offer:
Tarquin’s Sea Dog – Distilled 10 miles away from Bedruthan, this gin is that good it was awarded the “Worlds Best Gin 2017”. 12 different hand-picked botanicals are blended to create this whopping 57% abv gin. We use a 50ml measure in our Old Toms Ginger Brew Cocktail – which combines, Seadog, Tribute ale, ginger syrup and lemon juice.
Tarquin’s Rhubarb & Raspberry – Our most popular gin at Bedruthan, served with raspberries, mint leaves and Fever Tree ginger ale. Tarquin infuses the flagship dry Tarquins with the most beautiful raspberries and rhubarb to create this stunning pink gin.
Jynerva Smoked Green Tea – Distilled by Atlantic Distillery 6 miles away. Jynerva dry gin is infused with green tea leaves which have been smoked over oak. Really fresh acidic orange flavours with a dry juniper hit are followed by spiced honey and a long sweet smokey finish. We serve this with Fever Tree ginger ale and an orange wheel.
New Heli Gin – Created by Wrecking coast distillery in Tintagel to help raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, £5 from every bottle we purchase goes towards buying a new helicopter. This is a classic London dry gin with a hint of sycamore bark (commonly known as the helicopter tree!) is best served with a wedge of lime and your favourite tonic.
Wrecking Coast Sloe & Honey – A classic winter warmer, at 34.5% this is fantastic to drink on the rocks with a curl of lemon peel or long with mountains of ice and Fevertree lemonade. Unlike so many on the market, this isn’t a sweet sloe gin, the honey and cloves provide just the right amount of magic.
Westward Farm Rose Geranium – Handcrafted in St.Agnes, on the stunning Isle of Scilly, Westward Farm crafts only 28 bottles in one go to ensure that none of the amazing botanicals are lost in the distilling process. Rose geranium was originally grown on Westward Farm to produce essential oils but luckily for us, they started blending it with their Scilly Gin. It produces a warm floral spirit which is a perfect partner for watching the waves roll in on Mawgan Porth beach on a sunny summers day.
Feel free to pop by for a drink or two with friends or maybe even a date night. Our sea view cocktail bar is the ideal location to watch the sunset, have a chat and indulge in a few drinks.
