The festival season is on its way and this summer we want you to make the most of the sunshine in Cornwall whilst it’s out. Here are some of our favourite outdoorsy events:
Throughout June and July
The Eden Sessions started in 2002. They are a series of concerts held at the Eden Project in the summer with an incredible backdrop of the biomes. This year they have another amazing line up including Bastille, Madness, Royal Blood, Blondie, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams and Foals.
Leopallooza is a multi award-winning independent festival that is returning for it’s eleventh year. They bring hundreds of the most new and established bands, djs and solo artists to their lush wooded valley close to the beautiful Cornish coast. To celebrate their eleventh birthday, they have extended the festival to three days.
This is a festival unlike any other, it’s a magical weekend set in the Port Eliot estate. Whether you’re swimming in the estuary, picnicking under a 300 year old tree, rocking out at the Park Stage, canoeing on the river, or dancing ‘till the wee hours in the Boogie Round – they invite you to their little corner of Cornwall.
Kneehigh – Tristan & Yseult
This critically acclaimed production catapulted Kneehigh onto the national stage. This is the original tale of forbidden desires, broken hearts and the agony of choosing one human being over another. Seen through the eyes of the ‘Unloved’, Tristan & Yseult blends comedy, live music, grand passion and tender truths, in an irresistible night of love. Tristan & Yseult will be performed at the Minack Theatre in June.
