Whether you already have a mini culture-vulture, or are looking for some alternative activities for the kids during the 2019 school holidays, we have some wonderful places to visit during your stay at the Bedruthan hotel that’s guaranteed to ignite their natural sense of wonder! Here’s 5 to get you started…

Heartlands Cornwall

A world heritage site gateway to Cornwall set in 19 acres, Heartlands is free to enter and has plenty to do both in, and outdoors. The adventure playground is the biggest in Cornwall and is perfect for kids aged 1 – 13.  There are also art exhibitions, craft studios and wonderful botanical gardens with diverse flora and foliage.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Set over 200 acres, the Lost Gardens of Heligan was named as such due to the gardens being lost under a tangle of weeds until they were discovered through the door of a ruins.  Twenty-five years later, the gardens have been restored to their former glory and are one of the most beautiful gardens to visit in Cornwall.  With plenty to see and do, this is a real treat for kids and adults alike.

Tate Create

Run throughout the Summer holidays, Tate Create is a great way for kids to make art together and explore new materials and mediums.  Every year is themed according to inspiration from the artwork in the galleries. There is no booking required, but places will be limited at busy times.

Outdoor theatre – The Rogue Theatre  

No one does immersive theatre quite like The Rogue Theatre Company. Each year they run spring performances in the beautiful Tehidy North Cliffs woods, each with a story trail to enchant and inspire. The new world of spring comes alive with their collection of tales and adventures.
