A Bedruthan love story goes viral

A film about a loved-up Bedruthan couple’s romance flourishing – thanks to a chance meeting in Cornwall, a pair of walking boots and the Cornish coast – has gone viral capturing hearts across the globe.

The quirky two minute film, called ‘A Cornish Love Story’, charts the ups-and-downs of Tania and Adam Clark’s relationship, and recounts how their shared love of Cornwall brought them – and kept them – together.

Tania and Adam, who both work at Bedruthan Hotel, moved to Cornwall eight years ago, were chosen as the stars of the film when their story struck a cord with the film’s producers.

Tania, who works in our sustainability department, said: “Cornwall is so much part of our relationship, we just wouldn’t be here today if we hadn’t both fallen for the county.

“It means everything to us. We appreciate Cornwall whenever we can by discovering and exploring as well as revisiting the places we love.

“It makes us feel whole. It’s our home. We love the film – those boots really are part of our story.”

The film was commissioned by Visit Cornwall and produced by De Facto Films.

While Visit Cornwall set the ball rolling by posting ‘A Cornish Love Story’ on Twitter, Google+ and Facebook with the #loveCornwall hashtag, advocates of Cornwall have helped it to go viral by sharing and creating a buzz around it.
