Hammam Therapy

The word “Hammam” derives from “spread of warmth” and is used to describe a bathing ritual that traces its roots back to the Roman Thermae spas. The therapies are carried out on our heated stone Hammam bed, which has the dual benefit of relaxing your muscles and opening up your skin pores – enabling the nourishing and detoxifying muds and wraps to penetrate your skin more deeply. 

Traditional Hammam Bathing Ritual                                          55 mins £64

This traditional hammam treatment combines a body wash with organic rhasoul clay soap, followed by a salt and oil body scrub to remove dead skin cells and nourish the skin.  The ritual is completed with a scalp massage hair wash to release muscle tension and leave you feeling cleansed from head to toe.  

Traditional Hammam Scrub & Wrap                                            55 mins £64

This hammam treatment combines a body exfoliation with a conditioning body wrap.  Using a combination of essential oils, muds and nutrient-rich creams to detoxify and rehydrate your skin.  These products are freshly blended by hand allowing our therapists to prescribe a bespoke combination matched to your skin type and condition.

Combining the benefits of Fucus Serratus seaweed into a body scrub and massage This treatment detoxifies and rehydrates the skin, improving both blood and lymphatic circulation, resulting in increased energy levels and enhanced skin tone and elasticity.

To enable the Hammam room to reach its optimum temperature, these treatments need to be booked 24 hours in advance.
