Bedruthan Steps Hotel and Spa is one of the most family friendly hotels in Cornwall, with stunning ocean views across the Atlantic and breathtaking coastline. We are an award winning, privately owned, 4 star hotel with 101 rooms and suites and great leisure facilities. We also offer Ofsted inspected children’s activity clubs, state of the art conference facilities and an exceptional Spa. We are about to launch two new hip restaurants to include a sustainable fish restaurant Red Herring and an all-day bistro Wild Cafe. Our aim is for these to become award winning destination restaurants.
Our Wellbeing Host will constantly be checking that the hotel is looking at its best, that our team are happy and delivering our promises, troubleshooting when we are not and spreading a little happiness to every guest who stays with us helping them have an unforgettably brilliant stay. You will need a keen eye for detail, a sunny disposition, and a knack for winning over people’s hearts to deliver for you.
It is vital that you can communicate well with all guests, love children and can adjust your style to suit any situation. You must be confident, able to use your initiative and be a resourceful problem solver. It is essential that you have a positive outlook on life with a can-do attitude.
We believe you will have a proven track record in a previous senior customer facing role. You should be well organised and able to self manage your workload. Experience of the hospitality industry could be an advantage but is not essential.
You will need to quickly become conversant with the huge range of facilities and services Bedruthan and the local area has to offer and be able to promote these knowledgeably.
The shift pattern will be 4 days on/4 days off on a rolling rota. Each shift being 12 hours. Annually, this will average 42 hours per week.

The Award Winning hotel Bedruthan Steps overlooking the beach at Mawgan Porth is looking for Restaurant Hosts to join our team.
Crucial to the role is your ability to converse with our guests in an engaging manner. It would be an advantage if you have previous fine dining experience with knowledge in wines and barrista skills. However training can be provided to the right candidate.

Deputy Restaurant Manager
Do you want to get out of the town and into the wild?
We are about to open two new restaurants to include a fish restaurant and an all-day bistro cafe. Our aim is for these to become award winning destination restaurants.
The bistro will be showcasing locally sourced, pasture to plate ingredients, exotic and unusual vegetables specially grown for us by local growers, focusing on vibrant salads using an abundance of spices and herbs from Europe and the middle east with great visual impact, artisan patisserie and dessert displays in front of our guests in addition to signature dishes and daily specials.
We now require a Deputy Restaurant Manager to help launch our exciting new range and continue its development into the future. The successful delivery of our new daytime offering in the bistro will be your main focus.
Our food heros include Ottolenghi, Riverford and Daylesford. If you have an understanding and admiration of their products and believe you can help create a unique offering for Bedruthan, we would love to talk to you.
We are looking for someone with proven relevant experience as a Deputy Restaurant Manager or someone who has had supervisory experience and is now ready and looking for the next step. Preferably you will have worked within a large 4* hotel and have experience of working with children and families.
You should be capable of working with budgets and achieving targets. You must be able to inspire, teach and motivate your team in order to deliver our consistent high standards.

We are looking for someone with proven relevant experience as a baker or senior pastry chef. Preferably you will have worked within a 4* hotel. The use of fresh produce in an inspirational way is important to us in the delivery of a quality product.
You should be capable of working with budgets and achieving GP margins. You must be able to inspire your team, teach and motivate them.

We are looking for a Commis Chef who has or is studying towards, NVQ level 2 in Food Prep. Preferably you will have worked within a 4* hotel and used fresh produce previously.
