Guest Gifting Scheme
How the scheme works...
...with the booking terms and conditions:
Bedruthan Steps Hotel is committed to engaging with, and promoting, responsible tourism practices which is why, along side our energy saving, waste reduction and charitable initiatives, we also encourage and facilitate guest donations to responsible causes. We have selected 3 causes which we feel passionate about and hope they will also appeal to our guests own travel motivations or feelings towards their holiday in the Mawgan Porth area.
As of mid-July 2009 booking terms and conditions forms have contained a paragraph which asks guests to either opt out of this scheme or to support their choice of the following causes with a £5 donation (per accommodation booking):

Option 2: Surfers Against Sewage (click here for their website)
Option 3: St Mawgan in Pydar Community Fund *

* As a new charity, we do not have a Community Fund website to show you, but please email our sustainability manager on snewham@bedruthan.com with any queries or for more information.
If guests return their form without having made a selection, or did not choose to opt out, we will automatically select the Community Fund on our guests' behalf, ensuring that 100% of the £5 donation goes towards helping local initiatives within the St Mawgan-in-Pydar area.

Please read the additional information on each of the options to help you find out more about what Bedruthan Steps Hotel is already doing and what your donation could do.
...if you change your mind:
If you returned your signed booking terms and conditions form before reading the additional information or have simply changed your mind, and would like to change your option, please just let us know.
...if you'd rather not donate:
Not a problem, we do not expect everyone to want to donate to our particular chosen causes. Therefore, if you would like to opt out of the scheme please let us know, either by ticking the appropriate part of your booking terms and conditions form or by speaking to a member of our reception staff at any time during your stay with us.
...if you'd like to donate more than £5.00:
If you would like to donate more to one of our causes, please ask reception to add your specified amount when you pay your final bill.
