There are always lots of different local activities and events happening in Cornwall. Below are a selection of some of the events taking place this winter and during Summer 2012. Green Father Christmas at Five Acres Nature Reserve 10th Dec
Ice Skating at Eden, Winter 2011 / 2012
The magical ice rink is back with a new glacial theme for 2011/12. In addition to the general skating sessions, there are special sessions for all ages and abilities, so come on down and get your skates on!
Padstow Christmas Festival, Dec 2nd - 4th
This years festival is celebrating food! Bustling with the likes of Rick Stein and Phil Vickery there is also a demo from our very own Adam Clark.
Polperro Festival, Polperro 16th -23rd June
Comedy,carnivals and live music.
Lafrowda Festival , St Just-in-Penwith, 13th - 21st July
An annual festival celebrating community arts.
The Big Cornwall Swim Sat 1st July
Summer 2012 sees the 2nd 'Big Cornwall Swim', an open water swimming event at Sithian's Lake. Organised by the Cornwall County Council Community and Leisure Team, we're sure this is one not to miss! Click here for prices & age restrictions etc.
Atlantic Adventure Evening Cruise from Penzance Harbour
Booking is essential for this one. 10% of the boat trip is donated to Cornwall Wild LIfe Trust if you mention the trust at the time of booking. The trip is a 2 1/2 hours heritage and geology RIB cruise to the historic fishing village of Porthleven. 2012 dates and info have yet to be confirmed, but to give you an idea, click here to read all about 2011.

St Endellion Summer Music Festival , Port Isaac 31st July - 10th August

The countdown to Europe's biggest surf, skate and music festival has officially begun.
Henri-Lloyd Falmouth Week 11th - 19th August, Falmouth
The Southwest's premier sailing event. Fun on the water and ashore too!
Wadebridge Folk Weekend 3rd - 5th August
The Wadebridge Hobgoblin Weekend of Music will run over bank holiday weekend at the end of August.
Newlyn Fish Festival , 27th August, Newlyn
The Newlyn Fish Festival celebrates the Cornish fish industry amid the surroundings of Cornwall’s largest fishing port.
9th World Belly Board Champsionships! Sunday 2nd September
Organised and hosted by the National Trust, The World Belly Board Championships is one event worth dusting down your old ply board for! Leave your wetsuit behind and take to the water the way we used to. Many prizes to be won, including best costume and best cake!
Newquay Fish Festival , 14th - 16th Sept
The festival gives Newquay an opportunity to showcase one of its hidden gems - the picturewque working harbour. The practical cookery demonstrations by local chefs - including our own Adam Clark - are undoubtedly the highlight of this annual festival.
The Cornwall Film Festival

Cornwall's only film festival will celebrate it's 11th in 2012. Traditionally offering an inspriring selection of Cornish, British and international screenings plus workshops, talks and special events for all ages.
