Bedruthan is a well established family owned hotel, spa and events venue located between Newquay and Padstow. We are proud to be a multi award winning business and employer.
For years Bedruthan has been well known as a family friendly hotel perfect for children and parents alike. In recent years we have become more well known for our committment to sustainability, innovative events and a beautiful Ocean Spa.
History
Bedruthan was opened in 1960 as an independent family hotel owned and run by Peter and Mary Whittington. It quickly became a popular destination as a family resort hotel and set a pattern for others to follow. Bedruthan's childcare services and emphasis on fresh local produce and sustainable living were innovative and groundbreaking at this time.
Awards
Bedruthan is proud of the numerous awards it has won over the years; thanks to its dedicated, hard working team. Our awards range from Hotel of the Year to 'Eco-Champion'.
Escape year round
We are often asked when the best time to visit Cornwall is... and we say anytime, our hotel is open all year round! During the summer Bedruthan is a haven for families with school age children because there is so much for them to see and do here.
When the children begrudgingly go back to school, lots of couples and families with pre-school children visit Cornwall. The beaches are quiet, the water is warm and the Gulf Stream keeps the air mild.
